Not Gonna Happen

I just wanted to confirm for anyone who wasn't sure that yes, in fact, the 2009 Burris Drags aren't going to happen. I'll be out of the USA for most of the summer and it's just not possible to hold the event this year.

Well, I've come to the conclusion that the 2009 Burris Drags event isn't going to happen. Considering the fact that I am supposed to be in South Korea from the middle of June until sometime in the early fall, I just don't think it's feasible to put on the event. In the event that things change and it becomes possible to put on the event, I may have an impromptu party that isn't quite as involved as before. But I wouldn't count on it.

I would expect that we will try to make it happen again in 2010.

The sky ahead looks uncertain

With my pending job at Korean Air, I am uncertain whether or not the 2009 Burris Drags will take place or not. There are still a few variables but bottom line is that if I'm in South Korea and not Gig Harbor... it'd be tough to actually put the event on. So I guess at this point things are in limbo. I'll try to keep everyone who is interested informed.

Some early planning for the 2009 Burris Drags.

I just thought I'd finally get to posting something before January was over. I was trying to decide when to have this year's race and I thought that if I put a poll up here that it might give me a better idea as to what date might work for the most people. So please cast a vote for your preferred date over on the sidebar poll. It will help me a great deal.

Last year we had 60 people show up and it was our largest turn-out yet. I am confident that this year will be just as big if not bigger. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please send me an email.
